The General Repair Shop

A small group of volunteer residents from the Bristol General Development have established

"The General Repair Shop".

​

Between us we have a number of tools, some of which, we may loan out to residents who wish to do their own work. These include folding step ladders, mains electric and battery powered workshop tools and various hand tools.

 

 Practical (amateur) skills to offer.

General small handyman/repair jobs * Small wood working projects * Plaster patching and repairs Picture hanging * Curtain rod/fixing installation* Installing shelving * Mounting TVs * Some ceramic repairs * Assembling Flat-pack furniture * Small plumbing repairs (washers, valves, taps, waste)   Replacing HIU batteries on heat meters * Small jewellery repairs * Some stain and scratch repairs *  Small electrical repairs soldering/plugs/some sockets (with electrical safety waiver) * ...

The General Repair Shop has linked up with the charity Caring in Bristol which deliver projects around homelessness in Bristol.

                                          

We would very much hope that customers of the Repair Shop will make a donation to Caring in Bristol of at least £10.
